Tide TIDE is our handsome and energetic male dolphin who has been seen in Cardigan Bay since 2001. He has quite a sharp fin with a nick near the base and another in the middle of his fin. These nicks are likely to be the result of encounters with other males, usually over a female. |

Nic Nic NIC NIC was first recorded in Cardigan Bay as long ago as 1990. She is one of the most regularly seen dolphins in the bay, and is a firm favourite with our observers. She is a nifty and skilful swimmer and loves surfing the waves. She is also mum to Splash who was born in 2004. |

Flint FLINT is known for his fantastic leaps and acrobatics. As the picture shows, he looks great when he’s performing. He used to have only two small nicks and some tooth scratches on his fin, but during 2005, he developed a third nick towards the base of the fin. |

Smoothy SMOOTHY is a real socialite and has been a frequent sight in the south of Cardigan Bay since 2003. Her playful and fun-loving nature makes her stand out in the pod. She is a great mum and has had two calves. On her fin she has four nicks of different shapes and sizes making her easy to identify. |
adopt | ![]() Julie Walters, "Our seas and the creatures that live in them are incredibly important - an amazing resource that we all need to look after. Please support the Sea Watch Adopt a Dolphin scheme." |

Chris CHRIS is our mysterious cutey dolphin mum who is known as far back as 1990 in Cardigan Bay. In 2006, however, we never saw her. Where did she go? Was she in the bay, but out of sight during our surveys or did she travel elsewhere? She is very popular with our observers and can be recognised by a couple of small nicks on her fin along with a thin white marking on the edge of the fin. |
adopt | ![]() Iolo Williams, "Future generations of dolphins depend on you to care for them. With so many modern threats to face, please support Sea Watch's efforts to ensure that this important community of dolphins can thrive, and rear their young in safety." |
